Graduate course. This course is designed to extend participants’ understanding about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) education by drawing substantially on the theories and research findings in STEAM education. It examines the current status, prospects and research developments of STEAM education with regard to students’ learning process, discipline discourse, teaching and teacher development. The course is intended to help students develop critical perspectives on STEAM research and explore its implications for STEAM education, policy and practice, and teacher education/professional development.
